Structural Engineer (Construction)
We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer for our client in the construction sector.
Responsibilities:
The Structural Engineer will:
- Plan and Design Civil and Structural works which include tunnels, facility projects, POB utility and drainage structures and other structures included in the project
- Coordinate with authorities, clients, consultants, subcontractors and SWCs, as well as facilitate technical discussion with relevant stakeholder
- Ensure all aspects of civil and structural related engineering works are compliant to requirements, designed in optimized way and updated in a timely manner
- Review and Check all civil/structural engineering deliverables from subcontractors and consultants
- Lead and manage formal design submissions to clients and relevant authorities
- Support LTA’s project safety review process (CDSS and CNSS)
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 6 years relevant experience in the analysis and design of concrete and steel structures and coordination of multi-discipline design
- Comprehensive knowledge of engineering deliverables such as drawings, specifications and material requisitions and of construction methods for concrete and steel structures
- Comprehensive knowledge and application of AASHTO LRFD, ACI, ASCE7, AISC, Euro code and LTA CDC
- Proficient knowledge of structural design and analysis software and AutoCAD or Microstation
- Experience in contract law, contract drafting and contract administration is a bonus
