Solution Sales Manager (IBM Systems)

Our client is a leading IT Solutions Provider and Authorised Distributor for IBM Systems. They are looking for a capable Solution Sales Manager to be responsible for achieving the sales and profit targets for their range of IBM enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities:

The Solution Sales Manager (IBM Systems) will:

  • Achieve sales and revenue targets by brand and market segment
  • Manage the monthly sales forecast and maintain an accurate sales pipeline
  • Work closely with the Channels Sales Director to provide direction, development and support for the sales team’s optimal performance for the assigned product group
  • Build strong relationships, plan business and forecasting, develop joint initiatives, and ensure the highest satisfaction levels with the vendor and business partners
  • Ensure the technical sales support team is ready to support the relevant product groups
  • Keep current with sales processes, proposals, pipeline management, and partner engagement to recommend improvements or resolve issues where necessary
  • Analyse product group performance data to maximise the vendor’s commercial opportunities (such as rebates and sales initiatives) and meet their commitments
  • Be the company’s champion for the relevant product groups within the vendor community
  • Proactively contribute as part of the leadership team to the commercial success and longevity of the business.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Computer Science or Equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Sales, Channel Sales or Product Management of Enterprise IT Solutions
  • Holding IBM product sales certifications would be an advantage
  • Possess strong business acumen and leadership skills
  • Self-starter and results-focused
  • Ability to influence business outcomes without having direct control
