Senior Sales Engineer (PLC/SCADA)

Our client, a leading international provider of energy and industrial automation solutions, is looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to be responsible for achieving profitable business growth for the company’s PLC/SCADA solutions through System Integrator channel partners.


The Senior Sales Engineer will:

  • To achieve and/or exceed monthly sales targets
  • To grow and maintain the PLC project sales pipeline at 3 times the sales target
  • Ability to build a network and connect with key decision-makers of end-user customers in Transport/Oil & Gas/Marine/Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences industries
  • Sales prospecting for early-stage PLC projects and work closely with the Pre- Sales Engineer on pre bid specifications
  • Identify brown or green field PLC projects at an early stage, obtain market information and provide prescription works
  • Develop and execute strategies for building strong relationships with System Integrator Partners and help them grow their respective market segments
  • Form partnerships with new System Integrators and develop training schedules for them
  • Submission of Monthly Reports: Monthly Forecast, Time in Field Plan, Competitors Information, Quality Issues, and Accomplishment for the month
  • Stay current with competitors’ PLC solutions and be able to differentiate and develop competitive counter proposals effectively
  • Possess a strong technical understanding of PLC systems architecture and be able to discuss, recommend and present solutions based on customers needs


  • Engineering degree or equivalent in Power Electronics and/or Instrumentation and Control
  • At least 4 years of experience in Industrial Automation, especially in Process Control. Must have at least basic technical knowledge of PLC and SCADA
  • Proven track record in Pre-Sales or Sales Engineering
  • Knowledge and/or networks in Transport /Oil & Gas / Marine/ Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences industries would be an advantage
  • Knowledge and/or networks with Systems Integrators would be an advantage
  • Possess strong business acumen, a self-starter and result-oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with diverse teams.
