Product Application Engineer (Pre-Sales)
Our client is a leading international provider of energy and industrial automation solutions and is looking for a capable Product Application Engineer to provide Pre-Sales support to customers for the company’s industrial automation architectures and solutions.
Responsibilities:
The Product Application Engineer (Pre-Sales) will:
- Identify the needs of the customer, review tender specifications, and develop the optimized solution to recommend to the customer
- Promote the company’s offers to new customers and convert them to use the company’s products
- Assist and give technical sales presentations at industry events like Exhibitions, Seminars, and Roadshows
- Conduct technical training to System Integrators, End-users, and Machine Makers
- Provide technical advice to Quality, Service, and Project departments as the subject matter expert.
Requirements:
- Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation or equivalent
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience. Proven track record in pre-sales strongly preferred
- Ability to design and present Industrial Automation and Process Control architectures to suit the needs of the customer
- Ability to communicate benefits and differentiating features of the recommended solution in an effective and convincing manner to customers
- Strong technical knowledge in:
- Automation technology (standards, solutions, competition offers)
- HMI, Motion, Servo Controllers, SCADA & Hybrid DCS, Industry 4.0 / IIOT, Servo Motor, HMI SERCOS, EtherCAT
- System Architectures and Platforms
- Networking and Industrial Communication (performance, limits, connectivity)
- Automation System Migration from / integration with legacy systems
- Attention to detail, self-starter, and result-oriented
- Able to work under pressure under tight deadlines
- Strong computer skills and command of English
