Information Technology Specialist


The IT Specialist will:

  • Manage desktop, software and hardware support inquiries including recommending and implementing solutions
  • Maintain a database of incident report tickets; provide reports to work units on open tickets
  • Proactively provide updates and reports to senior management
  • Shape, plan and manage IT projects consisting of one or more delivery streams including the development of new systems and applications
  • Drive enhancements or IT systems and provisions including virtual office, website, call-center & phone systems, inventory management, and CRM programs (JDE)
  • Work closely with the Corporate IT Production for future software releases
  • Assess the need for and implement performance upgrades for both hardware and software
  • Responsible for all IT inventory management of the office
  • Review all systems to ensure proper documentation and back-up procedures for knowledge management purpose

Professional Knowledge and Experience:

  • Degree/Diploma in Information Technology
  • Has proven experience in desktop support and on-site troubleshooting for software application and hardware issues
  • Well-versed in PC and desktop hardware including internal PC components, software, and the latest network protocols, operating systems, and standards
  • Basic experience with audio and video equipment, basic networking, printer functions and regular office IT equipment support
  • IT Weekly Reporting
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Meticulous problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies is a plus
  • Knowledge of Jira, GIT,SVN, and Oracle technologies
  • Self-driven and pro-active, with the ability to prioritize and perform well in a dynamic environment
