Global Category Manager (PCBA)
Our client, who is a leading global brand in energy management and industrial automation, is looking for a dynamic Global Category Manager to join their EE Category team and be responsible for the development and management of the assigned PCBA portfolio and supply base to deliver long term competitive advantage in Quality, Cost and Delivery.
The duties of this role include active participation in the development of cost reduction and supply base consolidation strategies to support the needs of the business units and the global purchasing organization.
Responsibilities:
The Global Category Manager (PCBA) will:
- Be the key contact between company and the suppliers.
- Execute global purchasing and sourcing strategies to achieve business goals.
- Lead the negotiation of Master Purchase Agreements with suppliers encompassing key Terms & Conditions on Quality, Supply Chain & functional objectives.
- Develop and implement the negotiation strategy and roadmap to drive cost reduction with suppliers and meet strategic, operational and financial performance targets.
- Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships that increase productivity year over year and deliver best practices in areas of strategic sourcing and total cost of ownership.
- Conduct strategic reviews and manage the overall performance of the supplier against the Supplier Scorecard.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of the business units needs and their product characteristics, and effectively manage the EMS to support those needs.
- Maintain and provide a current understanding of the PCBA industry and trends.
Requirements:
- Bachelor/Master’s degree, preferably in an Engineering related field.
- At least 10 years of Procurement and Sourcing of electronics components.
- Experience working in EMS/contract manufacturing for 3-5 years and in a P&L role.
- Proven ability to manage international negotiations in the electronics market.
- Exposure to PCBA manufacturing process.
- Experience working in a matrix environment across organizations and functions.
