General Insurance Manager

Our client is a well-established brand in the finance industry and they are looking for an experienced General Insurance Manager to join their team:

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the insurance department and to achieve expected turnaround time and quality services
  • Search and achieve new accounts relating to general/motor insurance
  • Work with business processing, claims, accounts section head to ensure post-sales services to corporate customers
  • Analyse and provide timely management reports on policy insurance & services, underwriting and claims trends to deliver high standards of services to end customers
  • Responsible for improving the workflow and system to achieve operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Resolve any operational issues with the intermediaries to achieve high service delivery in new accounts acquisition and retention
  • Work with management in corporate planning, risk & compliance, regulatory and legal matters

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma holder in Business or other insurance-related qualification
  • Minimally 7 years of operation experience in general industry
  • Strong working knowledge of customer services and risk management within the insurance industry
  • Excellent planning and organization skill
  • Able to conceptualize and effectively prioritize multiple assignments, working within tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

At least 2 years of experience in retail sales

Experience working in optical stores is preferred

Able to commit retail hours for 6 days a week

Able to work on weekends and public holidays
