Assistant Project Manager (2 Yr – Contract)

Our client is looking for an Assistant Project Manager ( Electrical Controls & Distribution ) and  to prepare, execute, lead and monitor projects through its various stages.

Responsibilities:

The Assistant Project Manager will:

Understand customer technical requirements through drawings and site visits and Be the key interface for the customer
Develop the BOM
Negotiate T&Cs of engagement with Procurement Team
Develop the Project Plan, monitor and regularly inspect project deliverables through the various stages of the project and find resolutions to problems faced
Manage and actively communicate to all project parties including contractors, design team and third parties, ensuring deliverables are milestones are met and critical paths are adhered, de-conflict dependencies, etc
Oversee, Manage and prepare submissions required for the Project Stakeholders
Ensure Change Management is carried out in line with client’s protocols as it relates to budget, revised design and potential schedule impact
Ensure the prompt delivery of all project deliverables within budget
Maintain good relationships with clients to evaluate alternative Project solutions

Requirements:

Diploma / bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
Minimum 5 years experience in Project Management in Datacenter and/or utility industry (within the electrical distribution field)
Knowledge of Datacenter, utility, EPC Electrical Distribution Systems and standards
Knowledge of Medium/Low Voltage switchgear, HV/MV/LV Transformer and Power automations, including installation, testing, and commissioning works.
Knowledgeable in planning tools (e.g. MS Project
