Assistant Manager, Compliance (Import & Export)
Our client who is a global leader in the industrial automation and electronics industry, is looking for a dynamic Assistant Manager to lead and support the company’s Compliance Program in Asia, as well as manage the regulatory risk based on the company’s global and regional policies for imports and exports.
Responsibilities:
The Assistant Manager will:
- Lead and support the development, implementation and administration of the compliance program & framework, policies and training programmes for the various entities
- Develop and manage channels of communication and reporting as regional branch office of the global HQ
- Develop, review and maintain standard rule, policies, guidelines, SOPs and training materials.
- Ensure compliance of entities with global policies by conducting regular training and auditing as required
- Manage compliance programs such as HS Code management, reviewing sales royalties and evaluation
- Provide advisory and guidance to entities on issues related to customs import & export, and relevant regulatory and policy requirements
- Assist with ad hoc projects and regional compliance coverage as required.
Requirements:
- Candidate must have at least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Must have a proven track record in designing and executing successful training programs
- Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong knowledge in compliance related to imports and exports of various countries in Asia Pacific
- Experience in managing and reviewing HS Code, Country of Origin, Sales Royalties and any other programs related to import and exports activities
- Willing to travel regionally to conduct training
- Excellent analytical skills, meticulous, ethical and principled
- Ability to work independently, plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
